What quality management means
ISO 9001 specifies requirements for a quality management system. It addresses an organisation's ability to provide products and services that meet applicable requirements and to improve customer satisfaction. The certification concerns the management system in its defined scope; it does not mean an individual piece of software is free from defects.
Define quality in terms of your project
Quality starts with shared expectations. A customer portal may need clear permissions and a straightforward sign-in journey. A business system may need accurate calculations and dependable integrations. Discuss the user journeys, acceptance criteria and review responsibilities before development, so the team has a concrete basis for deciding whether the result meets your needs.
Make feedback useful throughout delivery
A review should connect what users experience with what the project set out to achieve. Bring examples of unclear workflows, missing information or unexpected behaviour. Agree how changes will be prioritised and approved. This helps distinguish essential corrections from new scope and gives everyone a clearer view of the next release.
